The collection includes Mary Kay Melt-In Cleansing Balm, described as a cleanser that changes from balm to oil to a milky texture and features rice bran oil, vitamin E and salmon DNA. The other products are Mary Kay Snail Gel Face Patches, described as cooling hydrogel face patches, and Mary Kay Collagen Moisturizing Gel, a jelly moisturizer featuring collagen peptides, niacinamide and squaline, according to the report.
Direct Selling News places the introduction within Mary Kay’s efforts to expand its global reach and connect with a new generation of consumers. The collection builds on the company’s recent Beauty Is More Beautiful Shared brand campaign and draws on a cultural beauty movement that the report says has attracted particular interest among younger generations.
For the direct-selling business, the company’s stated rationale links consumer relevance with the experience of its Independent Beauty Consultants. In remarks carried by Direct Selling News, Dr. Lucy Gildea, Mary Kay Inc. Chief Brand and Scientific Officer, framed the collection as a way to translate global beauty trends into experiences for both groups. She also positioned it as part of the campaign’s effort to build awareness among the next generation of beauty consumers.
