Amway marks Uzbekistan opening with local operations in Tashkent

Amway celebrated the grand opening of Amway Uzbekistan in Tashkent, according to an October 26, 2026 announcement from the Amway Global Newsroom. The company said its newest market forms part of its expansion in Central Asia. The celebration followed the official start of operations in Uzbekistan on September 1, 2026.

According to Amway, the launch brings its nutrition, beauty, personal care, and home care products and solutions to local Amway Business Owners and their customers. The company said it has established a dedicated local presence in Tashkent to support service and operations, with infrastructure that includes a physical presence and local logistics.

Amway cited Uzbekistan’s population of more than 38 million individuals and what it described as a growing entrepreneurial population as reasons for entering the market. Michael Nelson, Amway President and Chief Executive Officer, described the opening as part of the company’s effort to extend its reach across Central Asia. He said Amway intends to provide local business owners with tools and support for developing their businesses.

For the direct-selling industry, the opening adds a market in which Amway Business Owners can serve local customers, supported by company operations in the country. Amway placed the launch within a longer-term regional strategy, following market entries in Mongolia in December 2024 and Kyrgyzstan in September 2025.

The company also said its physical operations, logistics and regional infrastructure represent investment in Uzbekistan’s economic development and support local job creation and entrepreneurship. Its announcement did not quantify those commitments. Amway is headquartered in Ada, Michigan, U.S., and describes its global reach as covering more than 100 countries and territories worldwide.
